Description
If you turn on the Scales Collective Youtube channel, you will find some of the best yoyo players in the world using UNPRLD yo-yos, and not without reason.

UNPRLD (Unparalleled)is a famous yo-yo brand from the US, and its members, in a sense, represent the highest level of professional yo-yoing today. Whether it’s Shu Yun TangYuki Nishisako or Colin Beckford, they are all active on the World yoyo contest scene. And the same goes for UNPRLD’s YOYO, who have maintained the level of craftsmanship that professional yoyos need while pursuing rapid growth.

Elevation is precisely made monometal yoyo from the American manufacturer UNPRLD. Yoyo was created for the American thrower Patrick Canny, who placed 7th in the 2019 World Cup with beautiful freestyle. It was designed in USA and made in china.

Specs:

  • Diameter: 56.00 mm
  • Width: 46.30 mm
  • Gap Width: 4.66 mm
  • Weight: 64.7 grams
  • Bearing Size: Concave Size C
  • Response: Size 19mm pads
  • Material: 7075 Aluminum

Shape:
Very comfortable H shape which comes from old popular throws like Genesis or SuperStar. It is wide, very catchable made with lower walls. This kind of shape should have more modern yoyos.

Surface:
It’s available in shiny and matte variations. Both of them have very good beadblast and even the glossy one are excelling in grinds. The only downside is that glossy ones may have some ano flaws. It’s nothing that bad but you definitely can see it.

Smoothnes:
Mine had a little bit of fingernail vibe. But you can’t feel it on string. Other than that it’s very smooth. The main issue is bearing. Bearing is not spinning well so I recommend it to change for YYF center track. The other thing I don’t recommend is unscrewing yoyo often because it may cause wobble vibe. I don’t know why but I had this problem. Maybe only mine was defected.

Yoyo has plenty of spin time, lots of stability a it’s also very fast and floaty. I would reccomend it to everyone. Also those shiny colors are amazing and you can buy your first gold yoyo. It’s very good throw. You can buy it on yoyoexpert for 45$.

Overview:
The recognition is the monometal signature of Colin Beckford. Colin Beckford is known for his involvement with scales, and his creative tech style. The recognition is a rework of Colin’s previous bimetal signature, the cognition.

Design:
The recognition has a unique and eye pleasing design. It is a v/h shape yoyo with several cuts both in the body and in the cup. This allows for interesting shadows and highlightswhen looking at the yoyo. Unprld has offered several different color options that are minimalisticand elegant. The shape is very comfortable in both the hand and on the catch.

Performance:
The recognition is the best performing monometal that I have ever played! It rivals most bimetals in performance and is incredibly versatile. The yoyo is long spinning, stable, catchable, and adapts very well to any speed you want to operate at. Binds are very consistent
and snags very rarely happen. The yoyo prefers to play at a mid-fast speed and feels balanced
in play leaning slightly on the heavy side. The only criticism I can make of this yoyo is that mine
is not and has never been super smooth. I would put the yoyo at a 7 out of ten on the smoothness scale meaning that you can feel some vibe in play. I am able to ignore this level of vibe, but others may not enjoy it. It is important to mention that though my yoyo is a 7 out of 10, you may receive one that is smoother. There is a possibility though that you will receive a yoyo that has some vibe.
Soul:
The recognition has a unique shape that allows the yoyo to have a very enjoyable feeling
in play. The yoyo is very controllable and maneuverable. You can feel the weight distribution
while playing, giving the yoyo a distinct personality.

Final Thoughts:
At 44.99 it is clear to see why the recognition quickly sells out after every
release. It is fun, unique, beautiful, and handles everything with ease. This is my number one
recommendation for anyone’s collection. Its balance and versatility has something for everyone.

This is the signature model of Unprld’s first member Yuki Nishisako. The Flashback serves as his 2nd signature model after the Flash with a few design tweaks that makes it play much faster yet more stable compared to the former.

The Flashback has a 7075 aluminum body with outer stainless steel rings. Compared to the original flash, it is more durable with the change of materials from 6061 to 7075 for better weight distribution since the material can be machined thinner, allowing more weight to be concentrated towards the outside, increasing stability. The rims have also been made slightly more angular to increase aerodynamics, making it play quicker on the string. It also has a much narrower gap width of 4.32mm compared to the 4.6mm of the Flash, making binds more consistent and giving each throws more power after each bind.

In terms of playability, it plays very quickly on the string yet still having a solid feeling, making speed combos be done with more control; it can be said to have a “crispy” feeling. Another comparable feature is that the Flashback has a lighter weight compared to the Flash, making this yoyo feel very comfortable to practice for long hours without tiring yourself out. It definitely is very good at horizontals because of its angular profile yet not too overly wide, making it glide in the air very quickly and stable as there is lesser contact surface area mid-air.

In summary, the Flashback is a very good competition model for players who want a fast yet stable playing yoyo. Also a very good replacement for players who always wanted to try out a yoyorecreation draupnir with a bit more fun and comfort!
