What Competitive Yo-Yos Do You Need? Check Out The YoYo Recommendations From YoYoFriends
Founded in 2016, YoYoFriends wanted to launch its brand by showcasing its manufacturing capabilities through design. However, making a brand is not as easy as it seems. A yoyo brand needs to find the right players, communication, and connections along with their products.
In 2018. Multiple players joined YoYoFriends, making YoYoFriends a beautiful collaboration of the yoyoers and the manufacturer team. Yoyo players are the ones that compete for yoyos the most and connect with the community. We have a strong player presence, connecting with their respective communities across the globe and directly communicating with the manufacturer team to create the brand.
In 2021, the manufacturer team also created the YoYofriends store. We take great photos and upping the production quality of both the yoyo and the content. Our lineup has fresh new colorway ideas and practical material use that’s never been seen before. Yoyos from YoYofriends are a testament to our manufacturing capabilities and our players.

Yoyofriends are mostly known for making competition-style yoyos—high performance, long spin time, good stability, speed, etc. But what the Koi shows is that what they SHOULD be known for…is…being good at making yoyos.
For a switch from their regular lineup, they decided to go for an organic style yoyo. They said, “what’s the most organic yoyo we could make” and decided just to make one of the best versions of that possible.
The result is a yoyo with a pure O rounded shape, no steps from the response system, no extra cuts, no flats, no nothing. Just one round shape from the axle to the edge of the cups.
Added to that are rounded edges and a bit of a nub for the axle, and you’ve got the most organic-shaped organic yoyo you could probably make.
Then, put some not-good but excellent bearings in and make the whole thing out of premium aluminum. Snappy response pads, and it’s done.
Because of this, this might not be the most stable yoyo you could pake; tilting your string will tilt the yoyo, but it’ll also allow for easy corrections.
There’s a decent bit of power and an excellent finish for finger grinds. The whole thing is as smooth as silk. Not great for thumb grinds or finger spins, but both are possible with some practice.
But it just exudes “relax” and fun throwing. You’re not worried about being the best or the fastest when throwing this yoyo. You’re just in the moment, zen.
This is a premium yoyo from a premium company at a midrange price. Picking it up lets you know that it’s of high quality every time you hold it. Suppose you don’t have an excellent organic-shaped comfort, yoyo. I can highly recommend you pick this one up.
Sync is a massive throw from YoyoFriends made for the competition stage. It’s fast-playing yoyo with a lot of spin time and stability. It comes with beautiful colors and fades with simple engraving.
SPEED is the world that perfectly describes Sync. It can also go “Godspeed.” It’s maneuverable, fast, and steady with plenty of spin time.
Bead blast is fantastic for all grinds and finger spins.
Price is going around 50$; it can be too much for some people, but YoyoFriends always delivers top-notch quality, so it’s worth checking.

There are a lot of different monumental yoyos in this price category, so it’s tough to battle. But this is the right choice if you are looking for something suitable for competition and speed.
The Hummingbird was one of Yoyofriend’s first releases and is enjoyable.
The Hummingbird is a very angular-shaped Bimetall yoyo with sharp and massive steel rings. It has an exciting finger spin cup which is quite hard to land it on, but once you’re in, it spins forever.
The hummingbird pushes competitive designs to the edge.
The Spintimeis quite long, and it’s very light and has a lot of agility, so the speed is insane. It’s one of the fastest moving yoyos on the market. For Grinds, it’s not perfect but still ok.
For Horizontal, it is also insane because of the shape.
The Hummingbird is an insane competition, yoyo.
It’s also perfect for everyone who wants to get their speeds to their limit.
