Demon Slayer Characters, Their Power and Background All Explained
It’s no secret that Demon Slayer is one of the most popular anime series. It’s frequently ranked among the best anime of all time. Given how well the first season did, this isn’t entirely surprising. The success of the first season was a direct result of the adaptation’s overall popularity. The number of characters in the Demon Slayer has long been a mystery. What’s the number exactly?
Even with the manga, the length of Demon Slayer is significantly less than that of a typical shonen series. There will be no swarms of characters as in Naruto; therefore, don’t expect to see many side characters.
LIST OF MAIN CHARACTERS IN DEMON SLAYER
Tanjiro’s position at the top of this list is straightforward. Anime character Tanjiro is one of the best male characters in Shounen. You can’t help but fall in love with him because of his charisma, charismatic demeanor, and unwavering passion for what he does.
When his trip finishes, it could be one of our lives’ most poignant and devastating events. You’ll be able to tell it’s about to happen soon enough. However, as long as it continues, you should be aware of this. Tanjiro’s brilliance is undeniable.
Though that may not be the most positive thing I could say about Nezuko, this is how I currently perceive her. I’m sorry if this upset Nezuko lovers. I can’t deny the similarities between the two.
Tanjiro’s quest to bring her human sister back to life lies at the heart of the series’ somber central plot. As a result, Nezuko’s involvement in the narrative is critical. It’s as though the gears start turning when Nezuko becomes an outlier among demons.
Zenitsu Agatsuma, along with Inosuke Hashibira and Tanjiro Kamado, goes with Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. To add to his impressive resume, he’s a member of the elite Demon Slayer Corps.
Hashibira is another character whose story begins with his initial appearance. I was outraged when I saw him kick the Zenitsu who had protected Nezuko. I fell in love with Inosuke after he changed my opinion of him. I’m amazed by Inosuke’s character growth. His beginnings were chaotic, but he’s evolved into a decent human being with just the right amount of craziness. Even if it bores us, we might be able to accept him as “just another Inosuke” since he is so extraordinary.
LIST OF THE MOONS IN DEMON SLAYER
As the name implies, the Twelve Kizuki Moons are a group of the most powerful demons in the world. Muzan Kibutsuji is the demon king, who has them all under his thumb: Kimetsu No Yaiba.
They all received a lot of Muzan’s blood to help them become stronger and more capable. Six people comprise each group and are separated into Upper and Lower Ranks. Members are assigned a number from one to six based on their relative strength. The following is the order of merit: When it comes to power, Upper Rank 1 is on top, followed closely by Lower Rank 6. There is a distinct difference between the rank of lower and upper ranks. Afterward, the number appears in the other eye.
Lower Rank 6
The Drum Demon, Kyogai, will be familiar to those who have watched the anime. He was last seen in the Tsuzumi Mansion Ark, where he lived with his family. His body is adorned with six Tsuzumi Drums. So, here’s his take on the blood demon. But it is only in the mansion’s interior that each drum has a distinct effect. For instance, the drum in his right shoulder can turn the room to the right. He is also capable of Rapid Drumming, a technique that allows him to play faster while maintaining the same sound quality. Kamanue replaced him.
Lower Rank 5
The Natagumo Mountain Arc’s main antagonist is Rui. A powerful man who can unite and defeat demons on the mountain because he is descended from Muzan, he possesses incredible strength and power. He’s also gotten more robust and more agile. A demon can receive spider-related powers from Rui, just as the Demon King can strengthen them with his blood. A demon’s appearance can be altered by Rui as well.
He uses threads for defense and offense, which is his primary method of combat. 'The increased tensile strength and durability can break even Nichirin Blades of his threads.
Lower Rank 4
Mukago, a Lower Rank Demon, is the only thing we know about her. During the Rehabilitation Arc, Muzan called her and the other Lower Ranks to his side. Following her denial of Muzan, she was killed.
Lower Rank 3
Wakuraba didn’t get much screen time, but his abilities were showcased during the Rehabilitation Arc. Although he can regenerate, it was insufficient to restore his body after Muzan had decapitated it. He has enhanced speed, which he demonstrated when attempting to flee the Infinity Castle.
Lower Rank 2
Unlike Mukago, Rokuro’s abilities are unknown. He appeared briefly during the Rehabilitation Arc, attempting to persuade Muzan that he needed more blood to be stronger. Muzan was offended by Rokuro’s “order,” so he decided to murder him.
Lower Rank 1
Anyone who has seen the Mugen Train film will recognize Enmu. Enmu first appeared alongside other Lower Rank demons during the Rehabilitation Arc, and then reappeared during the Mugen Train Arc. Like the other 12 Kizuki, he has improved his speed and reflexes.
He also has the supernatural ability to manipulate flesh, which allows him to fuse large and inanimate objects like the train. He can also separate his other body parts and organs from the main body. He can enter, manipulate, and control dreams using his blood demon art. He can kill his victims by destroying the Spiritual Core. He can also put people to sleep, either directly or indirectly.
Upper Rank 6
Kaigaku, the former Upper Rank 6 who replaced Gyutaro and Daki, is known as Kaigaku. He was a senior Zenitsu disciple and a former demon-slayer.
Because he is a former demon-slayer, his speed and reflexes are exceptional. He is a blood demon with electrokinesis, which allows him to manipulate electricity and lightning. Hashira-level swordsmanship, as a former Thunder Breathing user.
Upper Rank 5
Gyokko will make an appearance in the Swordsmith Village Arc. He has the ability to regenerate, which he did even after receiving additional blood from Muzan. He has the ability to quickly reattach his severed head and heal any injuries.
His blood demon art, his magical pots, enable him to perform the following feats: aqua creature manipulation (he can summon fishlike demons), cell manipulation (he can manipulate the cells of people he has trapped in the pots), water manipulations (he can create and manipulate water from the pots), and teleportation (in the which he is able to teleport between pots). He can also molt to change his appearance and gain strength.
Upper Rank 4
Originally, she was the Biwa Demon, who summoned demons into the Infinity Castle. However, following Hantengu’s death, she advanced to Upper Rank 4. She can disassemble and create multiple eyeballs from herself to spy on people from a distance. She knows where everyone is in the castle.
Her blood demon art is castle manipulation. This enables her to use her Biwa to construct and manipulate an Infinite Castle. Furthermore, she has the ability to create and shape rooms for offensive purposes. She can also use it to ram opponents to death.
Finally, she can manipulate space to transport people from the castle to other locations.
Upper Rank 3
Akaza was seen defeating Rengoku the Flame Hashira during the Mugen Train Arc. He has incredible strength, speed, and durability, as demonstrated during their fight. His tactical intelligence outperforms that of lower-ranking demons, giving him an advantage in battle. He can regenerate and has enhanced senses.
His blood demon art takes the form of martial arts, which is a form of destructive death. To strike his opponents, he combined his moves with blasts and attacks. His blood demon arts and superhuman strength make him a formidable foe.
Upper Rank 2
Doma, like all Upper-Rank demons, possesses extraordinary strength, speed, and reflexes. He is also extremely strong and has a tremendous amount of endurance. He also has a sharp and strategic mind.
Doma’s blood-demon art of cryokinesis enables him to create ice and frost from his own blood and flesh. He can also inhale demonic powdered-ice ice, which is lethal to those who take it. He also channels his cryokinesis through war fans to boost his abilities. He can also freely freeze objects and people. His final technique is the Bodhisattva statue, which has lethal ice powder and freezing attacks.
Upper Rank 1
He is the twin of Yoriichi Tsugikuni and a former demon slayer. Kokushibo is a demon of Upper Rank 1. His strength and power outnumber those of all 12 Demon Moons members. He is able to outperform the average person in physical and mental abilities, as well as possessing supernatural abilities that are above-average.
Crescent Moon Blades was his blood demon art, which complemented his combat style, Moon Breathing. This ability enables him to manipulate and create sharp blades with his katana that vary in speed and length.
TSUGUKO AMONG DEMON SLAYER CHARACTERS
A Tsuguko is a Demon Slayer Corps combatant who is designated as the apprentice and eventual successor of one of the Hashira. A Demon Slayer can either apply to become a Tsuguko or be scouted and accepted by one of the current Hashira. Although it is not required, a Tsuguko usually breathes in the same way as their Hashira.
When the Hashira are unable to fulfill their role as Demon Slayer Corps champions, the Tsuguko step in.
I dislike annoying and loud anime characters. They are frequently deafening. Zenitsu embodies all of these qualities. Because of the gear, he became one of the most evil characters in the series.
Zenitsu embodies Bruce Lee’s quote, “training one kick 10,000 times.” He has perfected this form after many repetitions. We have to wait for another chance for him to shine.
Kanao, as you can see, is very popular, and her fans adore her. I don’t think she’s exciting! (Please do not attack me, Kanao fans.) You know, she’ll play a more significant role in the future. This is a common occurrence in anime. As it turns out, a simple character will be the one to solve the problem. Kanao might experience the same thing.
WHO ARE HASHIRA DEMON SLAYER CHARACTERS?
Water Hashira appears in every generation of Demon Slayers. Giyu Tomioka is the current Water Breathing master. He is a powerful, stern man with little sympathy for demons. His strategy for defeating them is practical. He does not fight with hatred or strong emotions.
This is demonstrated when he expresses sympathy for Nezuko because she is able to control her demonic impulses. He is extremely powerful and has mastered his swordsmanship and Breathing Style with such precision that he was able to develop a new technique within this style. He is very aware of what he can’t do and will judge those who waste their lives for ego or impulse.
Giyu Tomioka may appear detached, but he is deeply concerned about his friends and those in authority over him. He is unpopular due to his antisocial personality and his unwavering, pragmatic sense of justice. Giyu Tomioka, a useful ally in battle, is skilled at communication, comprehension, and fighting in the thicket.
Although Kyojuro Rengoku is no longer alive, he was the Flame Hashira. He took over the torch from his father. Kyojuro Rengoku is upbeat, optimistic, excited, and boisterous. He believed that the strong owed it to the weak to protect them at all costs. He was also honorable and passionate, with a deep love for all people. He was devoted to their lives and prioritized their safety.
Rather than natural talent, his talents were developed through discipline and hard work. Unlike his father, Kyojuro Rengoku believed that anyone could achieve their goals if they worked hard enough. Kyojuro Rengoku demonstrated that it was possible. He defeated the Akaza, the Upper Rank Three demon using his Extrasensory Perception and Flame Breathing. Despite using Total Concentration Breathing, Kyojuro Rengoku was unable to stop Akaza’s Blood Demon Art., which allows Demon Slayers to heal their wounds and gain energy. He died in order to protect Tanjiro, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibara.
Tengen Uzui, the current Sound Hashira, is an eccentric and charismatic character. The Breathing Technique enhances his hearing and echolocation abilities. He is large and muscular, but his fighting style is based on flashiness and aesthetics. He is the fastest Hashira and the second strongest. Tengen Uzui is thus quite pleased. Tengen Uzui is a man who is demanding, proud, self-centered, and boastful. He is a caring husband and father who adores his three wives and the other Hashira.
Tengen was raised as a shinobi, and his techniques are the result of decades of practice hiding and enduring unbearable pain. In his later years, Tengen rejected all aspects of the shinobi lifestyle because it devalued warriors’ subordinates to dangerous levels.
Finally, Tengen Uzui believes that no human life is worthless. The mission is always secondary to their survival.
The exterior of the Insect hashira Shinobu Koto is merely a facade. She is easygoing and calm, with a friendly demeanor. Behind her cheerful exterior hides a dark and mean soul. This is evident when she teases Hashira about previous playful ribbing or kills demonics. Although she claims to want to get along with the demons, she is actually quite cruel, defeating them in battle through mind games and physical torture. Her desire to avenge her sister, who was murdered by demons, drives her.
Shinobu Kocho lacks the physical strength of her fellow Hashira. Her creativity, cunning, agility, and intelligence compensate for this. Instead of a traditional Nichirin sword, she employs a modified Katana as a stinger and injects demons with lethal Wisteria poison. Shinobu Kocho uses Insect Breathing to boost her attack speed and defense. Despite her superior fighting skills, she feels inferior to her peers.
Muichiro Tokito is prone to forgetfulness and folly. While some of his memory loss could be attributed to forgetfulness, his personality is typical of a Mist Hashira. He is also naturally hazy and prone to wandering. He is guided by logic rather than emotions.
He appears indifferent to others, almost passive, except when he erupts into an outlandish rage, which is rare but quite distressing. It’s important to remember that MuichiroTokito isn’t apathetic; he’s just as committed to his demon-slaying duties as the rest of them.
Muichiro Tokito, a child prodigy, quickly rose to the Hashira rank. He is also the generation’s most skilled Mist Breathing user. His unbreakable willpower and simmering rage enabled Demon Slayer victories. He also possesses tremendous strength and stamina.
Hashira Obanai Iguro, the partially blind Serpent, has a history of being petty, merciless, and deeply troubled. When he was 12 years old, his clan cut his lips to make his mouth look more like a snake’s. He conceals the wounds beneath the bandages that cover his face. This could be one of the reasons for his rage.
Furthermore, he is unyielding and strict even towards his fellow Hashira. He bullies them for their mistakes and makes fun of their injuries from “weak demons.” He has high expectations.
Obanai is an accomplished swordsman. He was asked to teach sword-wielding techniques to lower-ranking members of the organization. He was also the creator of Serpent Breathing. This style employs twists and turns resembling a serpent’s attack. It can also be used in conjunction with ObanaiIguro’s pet snake to increase its effectiveness.
Love Hashira / Formerly Flame Tsuguko
Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji She is caring, emotional, and loving. Because she is shy and easily flustered, she frequently compliments people in her head rather than aloud. Her gentleness is not directed at demons. Mitsuri Kanroji is as dedicated to exterminating all demons as she is to finding her husband. These are her primary life objectives.
Despite her small stature, Mitsuri Kanroji has eight times the muscle density of the average human. She is also more adaptable and agile than any other Hashira. These advantages compensate for her slowest running speed. Her new technique, Love Breathing, is also her creation. Love Breathing is similar to Flame Breathing, but it is boosted by Mitsuri Kanroji’s whip-like Nichiren Sword.
Sanemi Shinazugawa has a reputation for being abrasive and impulsive. The Wind Hashira can find any reason to be angry at someone else. His body is covered in battle scars, and he is the Hashira with the most bloodlust. He is not fond of demons. He appears to be intolerant of demons.
The Wind Hashira, like the rest of the Hashira, excels in combat. Because of the number of injuries he has survived over the years, he is more resistant to pain than others. In the Demon Slayer Corps, his Wind Breathing technique is well-known and consistent. Sanemi Shinazugawa is the master of it, outperforming all others.
Hashira’s Stone Gyomei Himejima is the group’s gentle giant. He has a big heart and a big body. He is sensitive and is frequently seen crying.
He is also soft-spoken and always has his prayer beads with him.
as well as Because of his religious upbringing, he feels disgust when he harms one of the living creatures. He despises inflicting pain so much that he will sacrifice it in order to save humanity.
In terms of physical strength, Gyomei Himejima is the most powerful Hashira. He is an expert with heavy iron weapons. Gyomei Himejima, like the Serpent Hashira, was able to achieve his rank in just two months. Because he is blind, his hearing has improved. Repetitive Action allows him to concentrate better. His perseverance is also noteworthy. He can maintain focus even when he is near death and still recover enough stamina to win.
ANCIENT HASHIRA AMONG DEMON SLAYER CHARACTERS
Another wonderful teacher and loving figure who taught Tanjiro how to slay demons. Despite his strict and unforgiving teaching style, we can see that the training was a huge success.
We can assume Urokodaki is a skilled swordsman, as suggested by the ex-Hashira. It is unclear whether he will use it. Urokodaki is an elderly man, and I don’t want to see shonen anime continue to murder elderly people. Allow the youngster to lead the fight.
(Incoming shameless plug) Here are some of the reasons Jigorou is such an excellent teacher. The complete version can be found by clicking here. Despite his limited screen time, Jigorou is a wonderful grandfather and teacher.
Jigorou loves and cares for Zenitsu, who can be annoying and loud at times. He patiently assists him in becoming a better Demon Slayer. If I were in Zenitsu’s shoes, I could see how difficult he is. Jigorou deserves more praise.
LIST OF THE LEADERS AMONG DEMON SLAYER CHARACTERS?
DEMON SLAYER CORP
Another person I’ve mentioned. Kagaya is the Demon Slayer Corps’ leader. He lacks strength because he is unable to fight. However, the entire Demon Slayer Corps pays attention to him. Kagaya is a charismatic leader who adores his followers. We can also assume he’s an excellent tactician. These characteristics are what compel the Hashira to follow them.
Muzan is clearly a dark and sinister being who has no compassion for the demons he created. He is only concerned with his own objectives (which I cannot reveal due to spoilers).
It would be fantastic if Tanjiro lost to his main character in the final battle. Muzan will undoubtedly be our last boss. He is the one who summoned the demons.
He is without a doubt the most dangerous threat among the demon slayer characters.
WHO IS THE STRONGEST AFTER ALL AMONG DEMON SLAYER CHARACTERS?
YORIICHI DEMON SLAYER
Yoriichi, like his twin brother, is a tall and muscular man with long, spiky hair with red tips that he wore in a ponytail. He was, however, slightly more slender, with shorter bangs and wavier hair than his brother.
His Demon Slayer Mark was in the same spot on his brow as Tanjiro’s, but it was lighter in color. Yoriichi always has a solemn and calm expression on his face, rarely showing emotion.
HOW OLD AND HOW TALL ARE THE CHARACTERS IN DEMON SLAYER?
