When is Amazon Prime Day in 2022?
The mega-retailer announced that its annual Prime Day for 2022 will be on July 12 and 13. The event will kick off at 3 am EDT and will last 48 hours. But early deals will be accessed as early as June 21 (currently ongoing) and will include deals up to 55% off specific Amazon products including the company’s signature Fire TV.
But there is an important thing you need to know about this special event – it is not available to everyone. Prime Day is only available to Prime users and in selected countries including Brazil, Austria, Australia, Canada, Belgium, Germany, France, China, Luxembourg, Japan, Portugal, Mexico, Singapore, the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, the US, Sweden, and Poland.
So in order to enjoy the hot deals, you need to be a Prime member from the countries mentioned above.
Note that Amazon Prime membership costs $14.99 per month or $139 annually, but it costs half for students in addition to a 30-day free trial. Users with Prime service can enjoy free 1 or 2-day shopping and access to Prime Music, Prime Video, Prime Now, Prime Pantry, and more.
If you are a new subscriber you get a 30-day free trial. Since Prime Day is less than two weeks away, you can sign up now to enjoy those deals with a one-month free trial.
What to expect from Prime Day 2022
As usual, this event will be marked by thousands of deals not only on Amazon-branded devices but also on items across different categories. If last year’s event is something to go by, this year’s Prime Day should break a few records.
Expected more than 50% discounts on Amazon’s popular Fire TVs, Fire tablets, Echo devices, and Kindle e-readers. However, you should also keep an eye on Black Friday-like deals as well as sales on competition devices and home appliances such as coffee makers and smart microwaves.
Retailers such as Dove and SodaStream will also offer some huge discounts, so you should look out for them too.
Some deals will last 24 hours while others will have limited time that drops every 5 minutes.

Use Amazon Assistant
This free browser extension is supported by Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Internet Explorer and lets you monitor the prices of products on the internet. With Amazon Assistant you also get access to popular Amazon hubs and desktop notifications when products you are watching drop.
Amazon Alexa will give you a head start on the hottest deals during Prime Day. If the last Black Friday showed us anything is that voice-shopping with Alexa can give you seven hours of lead. Order a product by voice and Amazon will confirm your order.
You can also set up a pin to prevent your Alexa from making unintended purchases.
Prime Early Access, Deals of the day, and Lighting deals
Although Prime Day will overshadow other deals such as Lighting deals and Deals of the day, these sales are definitely extra worth it.
Prime Early Access deals are just like Lighting Deal but for Prime users. In this deal, you get a 30-minute head start on certain deals, although these deals are only available depending on the stock availability.
It can be difficult to stay on top of all these deals, but with the Amazon app, you can track most deals with 24 hours head start.
Very few people know about Amazon coupons. But there is a whole hub dedicated just to coupons for pet supplies, electronics, toys, and more.
To find these coupons, head over to Amazon.com and find the section “Today’s Deals”. From there, find the menu categories and click “Coupons”.
When you find something you like, click “Clip this coupon” near the price of the item to clip the coupon. When checking out, you will see the coupon amount subtracted from the total cost.
Price comparison and tracker tools
If you want to compare the current price of an item against what was charged previously, you can use a price comparison and tracker tool that saves the price history of millions of products. Most of these tools are third-party, so be sure to do your due diligence before using one.
Our Amazon Prime Day 22 Predictions
There will be more hot deals this year, just like in the past. However, not all products get good discounts during Amazon Prime Day. Every annual Prime Day we see a new low price record being set on the majority of Amazon’s own products – there we predict that this trend will continue even this year.
But we have bad news for those waiting to buy high-end or mid-range TVs during the Prime Day – because Amazon never offers huge discounts on these electronics. However, there is plenty of great deals on Fire TVs.
Amazon Prime Day is less than 14 days away. For shoppers around there world, there will be a lot to sink your teeth into during this day with discounts on virtually every product. However, not all products will have great deals - as some will perform better compared to others.
